I'm pleased to say his motivational/inspirational talk at our school today was the best I've seen in 25 years.
Generally I'm no fan of these events or the impact of the Tony Robbins's of this world, but Jim's message was clear, unpretentious, without shmaltz - and effective. He is a powerful presenter without making one feel overwhelmed; he delivers with humour and honesty a handbook for living that seems possible to implement and moves the students to believe "amazing goals" can produce attainable - not impossible - results. All this without phony models and outlandish claims.
His technique was flawless - he held the students in the palm of his hand for over an hour. They were fully engaged with his warm personality and his message. This is what one hopes for in such a presentation.
